Condor Trail Press

Check it out. I caught sight of this on my Facebook news feed today.

That's Micah sitting and I think Nasty Nate on the right. Matt, your shadow made the post, but I guess you were a little too risque for the facebook page. Shame.

I've never

No sign of Poison on my body.   A result of careful skin maintenance or protective hair layer keeping the poison oils at bay?  You decide.

w/o PO

By this time, if I was susceptible to P.O., I should have developed some type of reaction. No reaction whatsoever. Is this a result of careful skin maintenance or a genetic blessing? You decide.

Pics

Poison oak is settling in on my arms and the back side of my right knee, but it's not nearly as bad as I though it would be. I'm slowly recovering from the mental taxation of trying to identify and avoid all poison oak. Yesterday consisted of post trip sleepiness and looking at picture of our spiky friend shooting blood out of his eye. Must unlucky hiker & hiker with greatest resolve goes to Matt for endured the onslaught of two angry wasps (why were they angry?), and trudging on after incurring a flat at the beginning of the down hill.
Any updates? My inner leg chafe is already gone, and I decided to donate a unit of platelets yesterday. Hopefully I dont have systemic poison oak waiting to break out or some needy patient will really suffer. Micah S. forgot his fathers camouflaged hat AGAIN in the back of my truck. This supports my theory that he was trying to lose it all weekend and I was simply foiling his plans by reminding him to pick it up every time we moved. Nomination for trip badass: Nasty Nate, who hiked out in shorts, after burning his pants in the fire the night prior, as if to say, "what wimp needs pants on a hike like this?" Badass. Nomination for most experienced hiker/most likely to survive months in the backcountry: Horny Toad Lizard (the first one we saw)

Bird List

Sick background Matty. You're a computer wizard.

Can someone post a bird list from our trip?

Byron was pissed

Just kidding.    The biggest fallout for me thus far has been spending a bit of yesterday cleaning up Byron's bike and trying to find a replacement bike computer.  No biggy though.

My PO is TERRIBLE!!!!   Check out my arm:

Just kidding.   I've got nothing to report.  My wasp stings are itchy, but not bad at all.  No sign of PO for me.   I've got visions of wildflowers along the creek canyon trail and my body is feeling good.

This is a picture of the Father of all Poison Oak:  He resides just behind perfect 10 waterfall

PO at Bay

The rash on my arm started Sunday and has progressed a bit. Nothing major. No other sites. If this is it, I'll be happy.

Kevin, don't be mad at me for rubbing PO on you next time we go backpacking. I think we have to know if you're completely immune.

Technu is freedom, technu is life

All,
I'll send the pics when I get back to my room.  Tecnu is saving my life.  My arms and legs were super itchy this morning and last night but I think the tecnu showers have kept it at bay.  I think if I take one more shower I should be alright. I advise you to get some tecnu if you got poison oak.

Kaptian Kevin, kicking us off

Any signs of P.O.?

Adverse effects of trip: exhaustion, thorns, scratches, mild dehydration, big nose zit, sore ankles, sore knees

Rewards of trip: overcoming adversity with friends, escaping encounter with rattlesnakes unscathed,  horny toad lizard in-hand, outdoor sleeping, bullocks oriole encounters. Perfect Ten conquered.

Anything to add?

Flames: send all photos ASAP
